“Jillian’s prenatal yoga class is phenomenal! Her class not only helps you physically and mentally during your pregnancy, but unlike some other classes also prepares you for labor and birth. I took her class for the first time while pregnant with my second (after taking a different birthing class while pregnant with my first), and even my husband noted that he was able to tell that I was using yoga practices during my second labor and was able to cope with the pain better than the first time. It was the first thing I signed up for when I found out I was pregnant with my third, and the number one thing I recommend to other pregnant mamas!”

“I cannot say enough about Mamaste prenatal yoga classes! At 39 weeks, I must say, I feel so much more at ease about labor and childbirth than I would have imagined before starting the classes. The breathing and relaxation techniques I’ve learned are extremely helpful and invaluable. Jillian and the women in these classes have been such an inspiration and a wealth of knowledge. Maybe even more important than the actual techniques, is the emotional support I’ve gained throughout my pregnancy. Truly, I am so thankful to have become a part of this amazing and supportive community of women that I can now call friends. I am so glad I signed up for this class and I highly recommend it!”

“Taking a moment, every week, to slow down, stretch my body & connect with my body & baby was the best thing I did for myself while I was pregnant with both of my babies. Jillian helped me learn to find peace in the process of developing & ultimately delivering a life within & through my body. When the time came to bring my boys into the word I felt fully equipped to navigate my body, mind & spirit through the process. I distinctly remember our labor & delivery nurse complimenting my breathing techniques, which is allowed to Jillian’s prenatal yoga class & the space I had to practice birthing breaths. Through the busy season of pregnancy I am overwhelmed with gratitude that Jillian helped me find the space every week to look inward at my body & spend time connecting with my babies before they were born. This was especially important as I was pregnant with my second & tending to a toddler 24/7. The space Jillian has built in her Mamaste yoga is rooted in connection— to our bodies, to our babies & to the communities around us. Jillian was always available to answer questions & serve as a resource to each expecting mother & her needs. She truly has a remarkable gift for making any one person feel like the most important person in the world, she remembers every detail of your pregnancy & offers constant encouragement & support. I can’t recommend Jillian & her class enough— I firmly believe it’s the most important thing expecting mothers can do as they prepare to welcome new life into their world.”

“Prenatal yoga with Jillian was everything I didn't know I needed while pregnant. Continuing to be surrounded by that same incredible group of women in post-natal yoga was a bright spot during those intense first few months. Jillian welcomed us all just as we were and so effectively created a space that we could share with our babies but still move and feel like ourselves.”

- Erin Farnsel [Prenatal Yoga]

“I would not have survived my last 10 weeks of pregnancy if not for Jillian Woods’ Mamaste yoga class. Regardless of the trials pregnancy had in any given week, Jillian’s class made me feel calmer, stronger and more connected to a large community. As a teacher, she is knowledgeable, focused and positive. As an individual, she is energized, passionate and open. I just gave birth 4 days ago, and I plan to continue to work with her as long as she will have me! “

“Mamaste Yoga was a lovely pregnancy complement to my regular ongoing yoga practice. Jillian's teaching is rooted in the physiology of labor and birth. There's an emotional component, but you can easily make that whatever you need it to be for your own pregnancy. I learned so many useful tools for labor, delivery, and postpartum. I think my time in Mamaste contributed to my quick birth, and my easy recovery. I expected to use the labor positions and techniques to speed up and simplify labor, but I ended up using techniques from class to center myself and stay focused in the whirlwind of a precipitous labor (aka super fast delivery). I felt like Mamaste gave me tools to deal with the unpredictability of pregnancy and birth. I gained both physical and emotional strength from the class. It's such a worthwhile investment, especially if you are desiring an unmedicated birth.”

“I attended both pre and postnatal yoga with Jillian. I loved both classes and had never done yoga before prior to the prenatal class. This was my 9th child and I decided pelvic floor work was going to be necessary. I got that and more. The class is warm and inviting, especially to new moms and a great resource for them to boot. As an older mom, I didn’t really need it for that aspect, but definitely enjoyed coming for the camaraderie and relaxation. My baby loved it as well. Being the youngest of 9, he doesn’t really get one on one with me. This aspect was priceless and I’m a little sad he got too big, and up and crawled away. I highly recommend this class to anyone on the fence about whether this will benefit you and your baby. It is definitely time well spent for both of you.”

“Jillian's Yoga for Women class is always the highlight of my week! I crave the feeling I have of being centered, grounded, and grateful when I leave class. My mind, body, and spirit are renewed with the gentle flow and restorative, inward reflection. Jillian is a gift to everyone she meets, but especially the women she teaches.”

“Being apart of Jillian’s yoga community is more than special it becomes are apart of your self care routine. I have had the privilege of being one of her students for over 6 years and every class with Jillian you find your inner peace, your body being nurtured and your soul lifted. I truly miss her classes when I can’t attend and always look forward to the classes with Jillian.”

“I started attending Jillian’s yoga for women workshop regularly 4 years ago. It is unlike any wellness or yoga practice I have experienced. It is more than just a class, it is a community. I always leave feeling centered, strong and most importantly loved and cared for, something all women need more of. Jillian shares her gifts of teaching and compassion so freely and I have received so many tools and resources to take off my mat and into my daily life. I am always grateful for my time spent on my mat in the presence of Jillian and other like minded mothers and women.”
